SecurityMatters' core business is delivering technologies for network security. We provide state-of-the-art and next generation solutions for network intrusion detection.

SecurityMatters started in 2008 and was incorporated in December 2009. The core of our current technology was developed at the University of Twente in more than 12 man-years of research.

Our technology is aimed at protecting high-value networks from internal and external known and unknows threats. Our target customers range from financial institutions to government agencies and utility companies. We are currently developing new solutions to effectively monitor industrial process control networks from cyber-threats.

Mission

The mission of SecurityMatters is to pursue technological excellence in network monitoring and intrusion detection by bringing to the market state-of-the-art and next-generation technologies developed in tight cooperation with academic research institutions.

Funding

• December 2008: received an STW "Phase 2" valorization grant.
• October 2009: received subsidies from the Dutch Ministry of Internal Affairs.
• July 2011: EU FP7 project.
